Wednesday Night Live

It all begins on August 5th!

Here at Prospect we are getting excited about the upcoming programs on Wednesday nights. Out goal is to make Wednesday Night Live a place for everyone. We offer a variety of classes to help you find a place that suits you best. There could not be a better place to come and make friends and build Godly friendships than Prospect on Wednesday nights! Starting in August you can find:

• Sanctuary - Carlotta Banks will teach on Heaven for 2 weeks and will then start a small group for those who are hungry for more. The Larry Brandau will be leading us on another exciting journey this fall as we continue studying our Walk With God.
• Motorcycle Safety with Chuck Nave, room 32 off the Fellowship Hall.
• Lost your job? Need some encouragement? Randall White will lead a Job Loss Support Group that we believe could change your outlook and give you courage to build faith in hard times. Look for us on the Education hallway.
• Steve King will teach Beginner Spanish to those of you interested in learning a new language. They will meet in the LFLC.
• Look for a place for you and your spouse to grow together? Pastor Ronny and Darlene will be continuing their Couples Small Group. You never know what exciting things might happen when you show up.
• Looking for relevance of Scripture in our culture and government? Travis Price will be continuing his small group God and Government. This is your opportunity to learn and become aware of some history and shed light on our current situation.
• If you love to learn, Lawrence Lockett's Small Group is the place to be. He will teach from the Bible and draw parallels to help apply it in your life.
• We have a growing Children's Program with Tim and Karen at the helm teaching children about God in creative and fun ways.
• Bobby Fleck wants your teens to get involved with our Youth Group where he will be teaching them Christ in a new and relevant way.
  

All classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and a nursery is available for children 0-4. We also serve a delicious meal starting at 5:30 p.m. Menu and prices are avilable each Sunday in the bulletin or you can call the church office for details.

UPDATE ON DANNY BENFORD.....DANNY HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO DEKALB MEDICAL CENTER FOR REHAB. HE WILL BE THERE FOR APPROXIMATELY SIX DAYS. HE WOULD LIKE CARDS, PHONE CALLS-----WE NEED TO PRAY FOR HIS SPIRIT TO BE LIFTED UP AND STAY UP;

HERBIG FAMILY......PLEASE PRAY FOR BILL, CINDY AND THEIR DAUGHTER, SUSAN JOHNSON.
BILL.....IS STILL IN PAIN WITH HIS NECK, KNEE AND STILL DEALING WITH HIS BLOOD PRESSURE FLUCTUATING;

SUSAN HERBIG JOHNSON....SUSAN HAS BEEN SCHEDULED TO HAVE SURGERY TO REMOVE A MASS IN HER LEFT NECK ON MONDAY, JULY 20TH; HOWEVER, SHE IS HAVING SEVERE SWELLING IN HER NECK AND HER WHITE BLOOD COUNT IS ELEVATED; THEREFORE, SHE HAS A DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT TOMORROW AT 8;30 A.M. TO DISCUSS FUTURE TREATMENT---THEY ARE NOT SURE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO DO THE SURGERY ON MONDAY NOW; PLEASE PRAY FOR PEACE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY....THE UNKNOWN OF ALL OF THIS IS REALLY CONCERNING;

GOSS FELL THIS PAST WEDNESDAY AT THE SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER IN COVINGTON AND BROKE HER HIP AND SHOULDER; SHE HAD SURGERY ON HER HIP YESTERDAY AND THE DOCTORS ARE CHECKING HER TO MAKE SURE SHE DOES NOT HAVE ANY OTHER INJURIES----SHE IS AT NEWTON GENERAL HOSPITAL IN COVINGTON;

JOHN BURTON.....BROTHER IN LAW OF PASTOR LAWRENCE LOCKETT---IS IN THE HOSPITAL WITH AN INFECTION IN HIS PANCREAS;

--FAYE WICK.....FAYE IS THE MOTHER OF JEAN BENFORD....SHE IS ALSO AT NEWTON GENERAL----THE DOCTORS BELIEVE SHE HAS A BLOOD CLOT PROBLEM BUT ARE STILL TESTING AND CHECKING TO PINPOINT THE PROBLEM; SHE ALSO HAS A PROBLEM WITH ONE OF HER LEGS AND FOOT;

--DANNY BENFORD...DANNY FELL LAST NIGHT AND IS AT NEWTON GENERAL HAVING TESTS....PLEASE PRAY THAT THE HIP IS NOT BROKEN AND THAT JEAN WILL HAVE STRENGTH TO DEAL WITH ALL OF THIS; I WILL UPDATE YOU AS I KNOW MORE;

DANNY HAS FRACTURED THE SOCKET PART OF HIS HIP---DANNY HAS BEEN TRANSPORTED TO ATLANTA MEDICAL AND IS AWAITING SURGERY; HE WILL ALSO HAVE A BONE SCAN DONE BY HIS CANCER DOCTOR WHILE HE IS UNDER ANESTHESIA; JEAN AND DANNY REALLY NEED THE LORD TO INTERCEDE IN THIS SITUATION.
