Urgent Prayer Request

DEAR PRAYER WARRIORS....

WE HAVE TWO URGENT NEEDS THIS MORNING....

CAROL LANE......DAUGHTER IN LAW OF FREDA LANE IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL IN ICU AND THE DOCTORS HAVE TOLD THE FAMILY SHE MAY NOT HAVE LONG TO LIVE; CAROL HAS SEVERAL BLEEDING ULCERS, HER LIVER IS NOT FUNCTIONING AND SHE HAS OTHER PROBLEMS AS WELL; PLEASE PRAY FOR A MIRACLE FOR THE LANE FAMILY;

DON VEAL......DON IS STILL AT HOME FOR NOW, BUT THE DOCTORS HAVE SAID IF HIS OXYGEN LEVEL DOES NOT IMPROVE HE WILL HAVE TO BE HOSPITALIZED; PLEASE PRAY FOR HIS OXYGEN LEVEL TO BE WHERE IT SHOULD BE AND FOR HIS STRENGTH. PRAY FOR GE NELLE AND FAMILY AS THEY TAKE CARE OF DON.

CONTINUING PRAYER NEEDS....

DANNY BENFORD....WILL BEGIN ANOTHER ROUND OF CHEMO ON MONDAY, THE 16TH. HE WILL BE DOING THIS AS AN OUTPATIENT. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIS STRENGTH, AS WELL AS JEANS. THEY WILL GO TO THE HOSPITAL EVERY MORNING NEXT WEEK FOR CHEMO (5 DAYS). PRAY FOR THIS CHEMO TO WORK IN DANNY'S FAVOR AND NOT AGAINST HIM;

PRAY FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST WORLDWIDE; PRAY FOR THE NEEDS OF OUR CHURCH FAMILY, OUR PASTORS;

THANK THE LORD FOR ANSWERED PRAYER---WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE HAVE TO BRING OUR NEEDS TO AND KNOW HE HEARS US!

WE HAVE AN URGENT PRAYER NEED THIS MORNING....FREIDA LANE'S DAUGHTER IN LAW, CAROL LANE, IS IN DEKALB MEDICAL CENTER ICU. SHE WAS TAKEN THERE THIS MORNING WITH INTERNAL BLEEDING, LIVER ISSUES, --NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON. PRAY FOR WISDOM FOR DOCTORS AND FOR PEACE AND COMFORT FOR THE FAMILY AS THEY WAIT ON THE LORD'S HEALING;

DANNY BENFORD WILL BEGIN ANOTHER ROUND OF CHEMO ON MARCH 15TH;

Scouting for Food

This month we will be joining with our Pack 747 to collect food to help replenish the food bank at Solid Rock Bapist Church. You can help as a Sunday School Class or as an individual by bringing your canned goods through the month of March. The Scouts will prepare boxes to collect our goods and this will be a great blessing to so many in these difficult times. Let's support our Pack 747 and reach out to those in need.

WNL

Starting Wednesday evening March 4th we will have WNL at Prospect. We will be offering a variety of discipleship groups and activities for the whole family. We have nursery for ages 0-4, children's ministry for Kindergarten - 5th grade, Crossroads Youth for 6th - 12th grade, and a multiplicity of adult classes. Listed below are the variety of adult classes being offered at this time. Classes begin at 6:30pm and last one hour.

• Walking with God - led by Larry Brandau
• God & Government - led by Travis Price
• Veterans Share & Care Group - led by Jim Poteat
• Nuts & Bolts of being a Cluster Leader - led by Rev. Lawrence Lockett
• Exercise & Stretching for those 45 and over - led by Kellie Rainwater
• Bridge for Beginners - led by Gil Davis
• Women's Beth Moore Study - led by Arlene Musgrove
• Nurturing & Parenting - led by Sheena Berry
• Sewing Basics - led by Melissa Griggs

With the start of WNL we will also be beginning Family Night Suppers once again. Supper will being at 5:30pm and will stop serving at 6:15pm. Our own Renee Dobbins has graciously offered to prepare our meals for us each week. The cost of meals will be $5 for adults, $3 for children 10 and under, and a family maximum of $15. Please make reservations on Sunday on the back of the bulletin OR call the church office no later than Monday by noon to reserve your spot.

The menu for March 4th is chicken/rice, green beans, rolls, and dessert.

Upward Reminders

There are NO Upward Basketball Games this week. We will have our last day of games next Saturday, March 7th. Make plans to attend the last games of the season!

We will have our Upward Basketball Award's Night on Monday, March 9th at 7:00pm in the Family Life Center. Don't miss this exciting time as we celebrate our children and watch ball handler Tonya Crevier.

Registration for Upward Soccer has begun. If registered before March 10th, the cost is $80. After March 10th the cost is $95. The deadline to register is March 19th. Evaluations will take place March 16, 17, and 19. If you have any questions please contact the church office at 770-786-6303.
