FAITH

Faith Evangelism Ministry begins Tuesday, August 18th at 6:00pm. We will have classroom training along with on the job training in the field by visiting our visitors, newcomers, and the community. Our mission is to plug them into the Lord and the church. I invite you to come and see what is so exciting on Tuesday nights beginning with a snack supper at 6:00, classroom teaching, then visiting. This is a 13-week training period where you learn how to effectively lead another person to Christ.

I encourage every Sunday School class to have some members either go out on Tuesdays or some other time of the month -- reporting to your class about the visit. Join us as we share the love of Jesus Christ with visitors, Sunday School class members, and newcomers.

DON VEAL AND FAMILY.....DON IS AT ROCKDALE HOSPITAL AND COULD BE IN HIS FINAL DAYS UNLESS THE LORD INTERVENES; PLEASE PRAY FOR GENELLE, ELAINE AND DONNIE AND FAMILIES AS THEY GO THRU THIS TIME WITH THEIR LOVED ONE;

DEVIN BENFORD.....MOST OF YOU KNOW DEVIN WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE HOSPITAL YESTERDAY FOR EMERGENCY SURGERY; AFTER LOOKING AT THE TEAR IN THE CAROTID ARTERY WITH A LIGHT, THE SURGEONS DECIDED TO LEAVE THE CLOT ON THE TEAR--THEY BELIEVE IT WILL REPAIR ITSELF IN TIME;
PLEASE PRAY THAT ANY SMALL CLOTS THAT MAY BREAK OFF OF THE LARGE CLOT WILL BE DISSOLVED BY THE HEPARIN MEDICATION BEFORE THEY CAN REACH THE BRAIN; PRAY FOR DEVIN'S WIFE, LAURA, AS WELL AS DANNY AND JEAN AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS;

PRAY FOR PASTOR RONNY....HE NEEDS OUR PRAYERS FOR STRENGTH, HEALTH, WISDOM, DISCERNMENT AND AN ABUNDANCE OF GOD'S ANOINTING AS HE DEALS WITH SO MANY NEEDS IN OUR CHURCH;

DON VEAL HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT OF ICU AT ROCKDALE HOSPITAL AND IS NOW IN A ROOM. PRAISE GOD! KEEP PRAYING THAT HIS OXYGEN LEVEL WILL GET TO WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE;

PLEASE PRAY FOR JOANN WRIGHT.....SHE IS AN ACQUAINTANCE OF FREIDA LANE. JOANN IS IN ST. JOSEPHS HOSPITAL WITH PNEUMONIA AND A STAFF INFECTION;

SUSAN HERBIG JOHNSON.....SUSAN IS HAVING A GOOD BIT OF NERVE PAIN AFTER HER SURGERY TO REMOVE BENIGN TUMOR IN HER NECK; SHE ALSO HAS TWO SMALL BOYS WHO ARE BOTH SICK WITH FEVERS; PLEASE PRAY FOR HER STRENGTH AND FOR THE NERVE PAIN TO SUBSIDE AS SHE TAKES CARE OF HER FAMILY;

DEVIN BENFORD....SON OF DANNY BEFORD IS RECOVERING FROM A STROKE; DEVIN LIVES IN MICHIGAN AND PRAISE GOD....HE SEEMS TO BE GETTING BETTER EACH DAY---DOCTORS WILL NOT RELEASE HIM TO GO HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL UNTIL THEY GET THE BLOOD CLOTTING ISSUES RIGHT IN HIS BODY;

Wednesday Night Live

It all begins on August 5th!

Here at Prospect we are getting excited about the upcoming programs on Wednesday nights. Out goal is to make Wednesday Night Live a place for everyone. We offer a variety of classes to help you find a place that suits you best. There could not be a better place to come and make friends and build Godly friendships than Prospect on Wednesday nights! Starting in August you can find:

• Sanctuary - Carlotta Banks will teach on Heaven for 2 weeks and will then start a small group for those who are hungry for more. The Larry Brandau will be leading us on another exciting journey this fall as we continue studying our Walk With God.
• Motorcycle Safety with Chuck Nave, room 32 off the Fellowship Hall.
• Lost your job? Need some encouragement? Randall White will lead a Job Loss Support Group that we believe could change your outlook and give you courage to build faith in hard times. Look for us on the Education hallway.
• Steve King will teach Beginner Spanish to those of you interested in learning a new language. They will meet in the LFLC.
• Look for a place for you and your spouse to grow together? Pastor Ronny and Darlene will be continuing their Couples Small Group. You never know what exciting things might happen when you show up.
• Looking for relevance of Scripture in our culture and government? Travis Price will be continuing his small group God and Government. This is your opportunity to learn and become aware of some history and shed light on our current situation.
• If you love to learn, Lawrence Lockett's Small Group is the place to be. He will teach from the Bible and draw parallels to help apply it in your life.
• We have a growing Children's Program with Tim and Karen at the helm teaching children about God in creative and fun ways.
• Bobby Fleck wants your teens to get involved with our Youth Group where he will be teaching them Christ in a new and relevant way.
  

All classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and a nursery is available for children 0-4. We also serve a delicious meal starting at 5:30 p.m. Menu and prices are avilable each Sunday in the bulletin or you can call the church office for details.

We hope to see you starting this Wednesday! And remeber...
